Post Production (Colour Grading & VFX)

 

  • I have collaborated with post-production facilities throughout my career for a variety of production requirements from editing to colour-grading, VFX sequences and audience replication, and I am familiar with both modern and old-school techniques.
  • I recently completed an engagement as advisor and Interim Chief Commercial Officer (2023) for an international post-production and VFX Studio, advising the CEO over a 12 month period. Established UK operations, overseeing the bidding process and installation of a $100K post-production suite, and successfully led the recruitment of the Head of Operations.

  • Completed productions with the ARRI ALEXA, RED and Sony camera systems including working with anamorphic lens configurations.

  • Knowledgeable on the ARRI ALEXA range, Sony Venice, JVC, Panasonic, Panavision, Weisscam, Phantom camera systems.

  • Familiar with the development of Super High Vision 8K, and film scanning technology such as the Goldeneye, Northlight 2 and NextScan 8K/12K and OXScan 14K scanners.

  • Experienced facilities and production technician for: Aaton, ARRI, Moviecam, Panavision film cameras, and specialist systems such as Vistavision.
  • Completed 6-week camera maintenance and facilities internship at Panavision’s Los Angeles HQ (1995).
  • Production use of Panavision Platinum and Gold camera systems.
  • Supplier of Fries 4-35 400fps High Speed Cameras.
  • Supplier of Paramount Vistavision Butterfly Camera for ‘The Human Body’ (IMAX/BBC) and ‘Animal Farm’ (Hallmark).
  • Sourced 65mm Camera systems, and Laboratory availability on behalf of VFG PLC for ‘The Nutcracker’ (IMAX).
  • LEQ Ltd represented Ikonoskop as the A-cam agent in the UK.

  • Owned, operated, and consulted on development and provision of camera cranes in: EMEA, North America, APAC, and Oceania.
  • Knowledgeable on: Aerocrane, Cam-mate, Chapman, Egripment, FGV, Filmair, Fisher, GFM, Movietech, Super-Techno etc.
  • Over 21 years of experience as a Lightweight Jib systems specialist and operator, particularly the Stanton Jimmy Jib.
  • Responsible for developing original modifications to many lightweight jib systems.
  • Affidavit witness for Cam-mate Systems Inc. (Telescopic Jib Systems).
  • Worked with, the designer of the Egripment Scanner Crane on design modifications required by VFG PLC.
  • Defended manufacturers standards in the sector on a number of occasions 1999 to 2011.
  • First UK technician trained upon introduction of the Chapman Lenny Arm to the UK by VFG.
  • An exemplary safety record, while responsible for cranes and remote head systems.
